Wetlands Kayak Tour

[rev_slider alias=”wetlands”]

This kayak tour is our most relaxing and family-friendly tour. Beginning on Logan Creek, we will paddle our way into the 865 acre Clark Lake bordered by Whitefish Bay Dunes State Park to the east and Ridge’s Sanctuary preserve to the north.  This beginner kayaker’s paradise is our protected, safe, and warm location to learn to kayak while watching for Bald Eagles, Blue Herons, Swans, Egrets, and more.

Ridges sanctuary bordering Logan’s creek contains a variety of habitats, including upland hardwood forest, lowland cedar-hemlock forest; Mature Beech, Hemlock, and Sugar Maple trees are found bordering the creek.

In the Spring, wildflowers are outstanding on this location, with Hepaticas, Spring Beauties, Trilliums and Trout Lilies putting on a show from mid-April to the end of May.

This tour is a great way to prepare your kayaking skills for our Bluff Tour or Cave Tour.
