What to do when you’re stuck in a winter rut in Door County.
I’ve been feeling the winter blues this winter, haven’t you!? Here is a list of things to make your body and mind feel good right now!
- 1. Grab some snowshoes and the dog, get outside! Fresh air is a natural healer for many things especially when you’re missing the sun on your skin. I love these snowshoes and they come with poles and a carrying bag.
- 2. Eat more dark greens and root vegetables. Eating produce that is in season is one of the most overlooked things because we can get any fruit and vegetable year round. Beets, squash, kale, carrots are just an example.Here’s a favorite recipe of mine. winter vegetable hash
- 3. Breathe it out! Sitting down, closing your eyes, and taking a few minutes to breathe deep in and out can instantly reset your day.
4. Last but not least, drink some water!
