Chris Katzban grew up in the quiet suburb of Whitefish Bay, on Milwaukee’s North Shore. Chris enjoyed playing soccer his whole life, but something was missing. Growing restless in his small suburb, and having never spent a night in a tent, Chris decided to sign up for an Outward Bound course the summer before Senior year in High School. The trip entailed 150 miles of whitewater canoeing in Canada, no showers for 30 days, and dozens of mile-long portages. It was hard work, but it planted a seed, and from that point he could not contain the yearnings for more. Attending Winona State University, provided more opportunities for adventure with its craggy bluffs and massive Mississippi river valley. In between classes he has traveled all over the country with the Winona State Ultimate Frisbee team, and for various concerts, festivals, etc. Mainly Phish. Finishing up his degree at Winona chris looks forward to a summer of fun on the water with DCKT……..
