How long is a Kayak Tour?
Total time commitment 3-4 hours. Total paddling time is ~2 hours(depending on our guests ability, desire and weather conditions.
How many people are in a group?
We have doubled the amount of guides we will have this summer. Our average group size is 6-8 with 12 maximum, unless you have a large family or group that would like to go out together. This is a great chance for you to meet new friends who have the same outgoing personality as you. We can accomodate up to 30 people with adequate reservations for family reunions, church outings, boyscout groups, leadership training, company outings and bachelor or bachelorette parties.
How many guides go with us?
We use 1 guide per 6 boats.
This is your vacation!
So don't worry about taking your camera on the water and not getting any photos of yourself, an experienced kayak guide equiped with a waterproof digital camera will make sure he gets you smiling.
You'll receive personal attention from our guide throughout the tour.
Kids receive personal attention too, from our guide's supersoaker.
Now you have the chance to see, learn and do something new that will make a long lasting Door County memory.
All with the safety of an experienced local Guide.
Detailed Kayaking Itinerary: (Morning Tour example)
- 7:45 Meet at The Door County Outpost in Egg Harbor, Door County (Directions)
- 8:00 The guide and group decide on a door county kayaking location and then depart in our Green Super Bus.(weather/wind/ dependent)
- 8:15 Arrive and Setup Kayaking Gear
- 8:30 Intro to kayak lesson
- 8:45 Into the wild blue wonder we launch!
- 8:45 Paddle to groups ability (see caves, wildlife, lighthouses, shipwrecks, bluffs, pictographs,hear about natural history, kayak history, ecology, and native american history)
- 11:45 Pack up and head back to The Door County Outpost
- Lunch available at the Door County Outpost
Our kayaking tours will also satisfy those of you who are experienced
Whether you left your kayaking gear at home or would like to "See the Sights." only our tours will show you.
