Used Ocean Kayaks
We use Ocean Kayak sit on top (SOT) for our main kayak fleet.
Ocean Kayak Zest II with Rudder 16'5" x 30" Weight 70 lbs. Capacity 500-600 lbs.

Owner review: These are what we are switching over to for our rental and tour fleet. They provide plenty of room to sit on, sturdy backrests, a great functioning rudder. One of the biggest reasons we are switching over to these kayaks, is for safety reasons, since it is easier to do self-rescues, partner rescues and the kayak does not need a T-Rescue(dumping the water out of it) are the main reasons, thisis because they are sit-on-top kayaks. Drawbacks of the sit-on-top kayak are that your legs get dripped on by the paddle, as well as the self bailing holes in the kayak will allow water to be around. Thus we do not recommended this kayak for cold water paddling, although you can purchase plugs for the self bailing holes that would make the kayak float a little higher, as well as not let water into the seat and foot wells.
Add 2 used paddles and 2 used PFD's for $125.

Owners review: Choosen for the Multisport "Great Races" and endurance team racing. This kayak has proven itself as a winner in my book. We recommend learning how to self-rescue this kayak and to use skirts, as this kayak sits lower to the water, is a sit-in kayak.
